Why I'm Doing This
I moved to Munich at 47 with zero industry contacts, my son Matthias, and a plan that mostly consisted of "figure it out, Anne."
And I did. It took me a while and I made every mistake you can think of.
But I figured out that the actors who were getting hired weren't more talented than me. They just had access to the rooms where the conversations were happening. So I stopped trying to get invited and started building my own rooms.
14 years later I've booked with studios like Netflix and A24 and Hallmark, among others. And I've watched actors I work with pull off the same thing from Estonia and the Netherlands and Germany and a bunch of other places that are definitely not LA or New York.
I didn't want my 60th birthday to be about getting presents. I wanted it to be about giving you the same kind of access that changed everything for me.
